Great art cracks us open - If we allow it. It beckons us to ask questions and be okay with not knowing all of the answers. It teaches that what we think is not always everything and it is safe to accept life's mysteries. It assures us that it is beautiful to be different and embracing differences leads to beautiful portals of connection. Art challenges and offers comfort in communing with uncomfortable feelings. It gently, reassuringly, asks us to lean into the lessons those feelings offer. It lovingly teaches that we do not have to dwell in discomfort indefinitely and it is okay to dream big dreams and grow beyond even those wildest dreams of ours. It teaches us to celebrate life and that there is room at the table for everyone.
"Loves Pure Light" is part of a series whereby the artist dives into the fearless exploration of love, unity and the power of imagination.
Harkening back to memories of childhood innocence and the belief that anything is possible. Not even the sky is the limit! "Loves Pure Light" is a reflection of the artists belief in the importance of holding fast to this deep sense of childhood wonder and possibility.
The artist is inspired by the work of Frida Kahlo, Louise Bourgeois, Rose Wylie, Yayoi Kusama and Basquiat.
